Growing Cooperatives Globally – Cooperative Contributions to International Development

Cooperatives Europe, in partnership with ICA Africa, FNCUMA and the Cooperative College, invite you to the conference “Growing cooperatives globally – Cooperative contributions to international development”.

Programme

9:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Workshop

The morning session will focus on the gender factor. The opening panel and following sub-groups will discuss how gender awareness has an impact on the success of a cooperative, how cooperatives contribute to the emancipation of women and how cross-border cooperation between networks reinforces gender equity.

2:00PM – 5:30 PM | Conference

The afternoon session on the private sector in development will decorticate the potential added value of networks in cooperative development processes, the role they can play and the reason of their existence. Further, international institutions will share their view-points on the place cooperative enterprises have within private sector policies and strategies and how collaborations could emerge out of it.

6:00PM – 8:00PM | Cocktail and networking
